सारनाथ भारत के उत्तर प्रदेश में गंगा और वरुणा नदियों के संगम के पास वाराणसी शहर से 10 किलोमीटर उत्तर-पूर्व में स्थित एक जगह है। सारनाथ में हिरण पार्क वह जगह है जहाँ गौतम बुद्ध ने सबसे पहले धर्म की शिक्षा दी थी और जहाँ बौद्ध संघ कोंडाना के उद्बोधन के माध्यम से अस्तित्व में आया था। जब गौतम बुद्ध ने सारनाथ में अपना पहला उपदेश दिया था तो उन्हें शायद ही ये अंदाजा रहा होगा कि आने वाले समय में सारनाथ की बौद्ध धर्म में इतनी महत्ता होगी | चलिए हमारे साथ सारनाथ यात्रा पर जहाँ आज आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान और शान्ति के लिए दुनिया भर से लोग आते हैं |
Sarnath is a place located 10 km northeast of the city of Varanasi near the confluence of the Ganges and Varuna rivers in Uttar Pradesh, India. Deer Park in Sarnath is the place where Gautama Buddha first taught religion and where the Buddhist Sangha came into existence through the eloquence of Kondana. When Gautam Buddha gave his first sermon at Sarnath, he would hardly have imagined that Sarnath would have so much importance in Buddhism in the coming times.
